Founder and CEO
John Quinn has spent most of his working life introducing new technologies into the sales channels of the UK, Europe and Middle East. Organisations such as Netscreen, Juniper, Fortinet, ISS/IBM, F5 and several start-up Security Technology vendors from the US and Israeli technology communities, have been introduced by John into over 150 key partners in over 27 countries.
Simon is responsible for the day to day running of Progress. Simon has held numerous Sales, Sales Management and Executive roles throughout his 25 year career in the tech industry. He has a vast amount of experience of the needs of vendors and channel partners as part of the value added routes to market having worked at Computacenter and HP for a large proportion of his career.
With over 40 years of senior management experience in growth companies, Bob brings a wide range of experience and capabilities to Progress.
Bob has been involved in early stage funding for start-up and emerging high growth companies in the UK and internationally.
With his experience in acquisitions, mergers, disposals and fund raising in both the private and public sectors, Bob is a highly experienced executive and we are very please to have him as a member of our board.
Managing Director, Germany
Gerald Hahn – CEO of Softshell AG and now, Managing Director of Progress Germany, a value-add distributor focused on Cybersecurity vendors looking to expand their business in the DACH region.
Through Softshell AG, Gerald created a new approach for international Cybersecurity companies to successfully enter the German speaking market.
Gerald initially became involved in the cybersecurity industry long before it dominated the headlines. He previously worked for companies such as Cisco Systems, IronPort Systems, EinsteiNet, F-Secure and also AVG where he was a member of the senior management team.
At Softshell, he deals almost exclusively with international companies who are trying to enter the DACH market, thus providing him with a global perspective of the industry. Due to his experience, he has also had the privilege of representing his company while working with both the Bavarian Delegation of Economic Affairs and the German Embassy in San Francisco, California.
Emma is Marketing and Events Director at Progress, responsible for marketing communications across the business, including Vendor, Channel and the Progress solution portfolio.
Emma has over 25 years’ experience leading marketing activities for software vendors, MSSPs, VARs and the service industry where her expertise helped to significantly grow market awareness and establish new partnerships both in EMEA and Internationally.
Managing Director, Ireland
Gareth has been involved in the software industry for 20 years and has been security focused for the last 12 years. Previously Gareth held a number of Senior EMEA Technical Sales roles for security vendors in both software and services, such as WhiteHat Security, IBM and Watchfire.

Henrik has led change in the information security industry for more then 20 years and has been the Founder and Director in a number of successful businesses and international companies. Hendrik is an experienced cyber security specialist with a track record of success. He is a skilled leader and an experienced alliance partner and vendor manager.
